01. Cashmere Cat – Mirror Maru

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m feelin’ squeaky fresh!

Cashmere Cat cat-ers (lol) to the ‘net & club kids’ quest to find da chillest (trillest?) future electronic bass sounds, proving once again that 808s may very well be some Ancient Aliens shit. Really tho, I’m likin’ this Norwegian bbg’s squeaky-fresh touch. The Mirror Maru EP is already out via Belgian indie record label Pelican Fly; just be sure to give her a Kiss Kiss and listen to her other tracks on SoundCloud.

02. Cosmic Cat – Enlightening

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m enlightened~

If you don’t already feel it, Cosmic Cat’s on that head-in-da-clouds path. He’s a yung bru out of Paris making all authentic Cosmic Beats with which you can find your inner chillionaire. While you’re peepin’ Cosmic Cat’s work, take note of all the links to all the other SoundClouds with similarly awesome experimental hip-hop vibes.

03. ViktorStone – CosmicSupremacy

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m beating off.

More on the cosmic tip… why are we always coming back to this topic? Beats me lol! Like I said, jus’ chill wit us for a bit and let the tru vibes keep your head straight. If you’re liking what you’re hearing, you’ll find a lot more goods at the Astral Basement.

04. P_ATCHWORK – U Were in My Dreams

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m still dreaming

Another day, another morning slept in. Maybe cause u were in my dreams again. Halloween is soon and though I don’t believe much in it, maybe you’re haunting me. Whatever doe, I’m not scared. I got deez beats in my ear and a heart wifout fear. Thanks for the good vibes, P_ATCHWORK.

05. Contact Lens – New Born

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m poppin’

Contact Lens back wit his signature “collar pop” if u namean. You can’t help it; you’re so fresh you’re new born. Peep Mediafire Kingdom when it comes out because u kno CL always 100 with his werk.

06. Infinity Frequencies – Sunset Limited

Theme: Fuq a Sandy I’m fuq’n my mr./mrs.

Bets on how many people riding out the storm are gonna end up riding it out wit a sweet honey / fine sir between da sheets? Lemme spin dis ambient sex music for u, care of Infinity Frequencies.

Indie Playlist: October 2012 GKMC

Another all-important Indie Playlist for you this October 2012 via Sweetest Drippu~

But first — Kendrick Lamar released his first major label album (#GKMC bb), and in full indie music spirit, we’re all about not talking about it, but totally talking about’s it, nah’mean? Ho.

Today’s theme will be: “______” Kid, M.A.A.D. City.*
*M.A.A.D. = my.Angry.Adolescence.divided

Ach, we all know what cities do to das keedz, and how music is all about reflecting all that onto your ears, amiright?

Since everything the SD crew does is (somehow) all for das keedz…

Lemme troll you with some of that sweet quality for a good 20 minutes or so. Take off yer pants, because this is gonna slippey and slidey.

Think of the kids.

Ho.

01. Kuhrye-oo – Give In (For the Fame) [Boody & Le1f Remix]

Theme: DARQ KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Producers Boody & Le1f have come together to refresh Kuhrye-oo’s Give In (For the Fame), replacing the original, smooth and gentle #feelings for a more raw, frenetic but still sensual beat. What you get is a minimalist hybrid featuring darker more dangerous overtones slowly creeping up and down your legs. Shlick.

02. Rap Class – Guest Mix For The Astral Plane

Theme: FLOSSY KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Our bros from The Astral Plane blog hit us up with a mix that I’ve had on repeat deez days. Being part of the yung millenial generation you might not have caught a lot of these classics. Or maybe these types of stunnaz don’t reach your corner of the ‘net BUT it’s coo tho, there’s always love for throwbacks and Rap Class brrings u these go-to R&B / hip hop cuts to get u comfy in your contemporary shoooooooooooooooes~

03. BEAR//FACE – Beat_Tape

Theme: STARBOUND MYSTERY KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

”Who the fuck is BEAR//FACE?!?!?!?” I asked Google, and it replied: Shit son, I dunno, seems new doe. Here’s what we have: He might be a 19 year-old named Ciaran McDonald from Belfast, Northern Ireland; with the skills to turn all our ears into jelly. From arp’ed beats to smooth, melty samples; BEAR//FACE has got the current styles down and coming out clean. It definitely hasn’t been long since this producer has been using the moniker, recently putting out a (FREE) 7-track release via Bandcamp a few days back. Give it a download for that sweet 320kbps action.

04. FREnchfire – GIRLS

Theme: FTR BRI’ISH KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Girls is a remix of DJ Tomcraft’s 2002 prog. house hit Loneliness by FREnchfire, a slick producer from “Liverpool-ish”. Featuring that rising post-dub/grime/UK garage genesis that’s been hitting us these past few years, this artist has definitely been getting great coverage. Check out his full album, “CHASING” and maybe open your wallets to get that high bitrate version (it’s only tree-quid fiftay & your speakers will rape your face in gratitude.

06. Insightful – The Shy Lanterns Glow

Theme: FEELINGS KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

I was flippin’ thru Tumblr, dodging the nasty posts and maybe cradling my peen to da hott posts. Anyway I’ll leave this one to the pros at Soulection:

“An album dedicated to the lantern you are. The world is dark at times, and this was created to remind you of the light inside of you. My life has been a series of ups and downs and I hope this resonates somehow.” — Insightful

07. LAY BAC – Stay Out Tonight

Theme: CRUISIN’ KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

LAY BAC is an Austin, TX production duo made possible by Tom Cruisin’ and Matthew Shogi. Stay Out Tonight was a slick lil’ title track to an EP chef’ed up by these southern homies a few years bac. I don’t even know what to say. I’m laid back; to’ up from da flo’ up. Peep da song, pass me da bong. Deep doop dong. So long.

08. Wonda – @Kilokish

Theme: NEW KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Wonda is Chicago-based Tobi Adeyemi, a smooth-ass muh fuh that our trillionaire’s senses detect is working hard to build an empire out of brain gold. From producing & remixing to laying down rhymes, his choice of tracks, styles and samples have got us — and plenty of other people — perking our ears up. We see you being #relevant while keeping hold of yourself mister, and we’re excited to see what 2013 has in store for you. Reltalk.

09. Toro y Moi – So Many Details

Theme: CHILL KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Toro y Moi’s chillmaster and commander Chaz Bundick is back with So Many Details, a pop-over-psych affair compared to his previous albumsCausers of This and Underneath the Pine.

Sincere pop” is what Toro’s is reppin’ this time around, which basically means all the right feels honed-in on your the warm fuzzies.

Chaz is just one of those guys who gets it right with every release. With So Many Details, it feels as if he’s flopping down

10. Tempogeist – Hold On (Prometones Remix)

Theme: KIDO KID, M.A.A.D. CITY

Before he went on a name-change hiatus, our Tokyo bro Kido Yoji released some of the hottest nu disco tracks you can find on the Internet.

He said to Hold On for a while as he entered hiatus and recently made his comeback as Prometones with this poppin’ fresh remix for Belgium’s Tempogeist.

Hold On was also remixed by indie dance producers Rogue vogue, Satin Jackets, and Monitor 66.

As for the name change, maybe someone got Kido M.A.A.D.? Or maybe he found a new way to flow~

U kno no matter what we just wanna peep new Prometones releases doe!

Keep it clean, get that ice cream indie playlist action heeyah.

Wakey wakey!!! It’s the weekend AKA party time AKA fuck-a-job ¦D

This one’s huge. Na I mean, dis one’s bangin’. It’s def a lil nastee, but you can handle it.

Yung Simply Trill back wit da club music; the drivin’ fast & movin’ dat ass music.

01. Doctor Jeep – Turok EP

If Indie Playlist is like smooth butta love, Simply Trill’s the rough stuff. Check dis turnt up preview of Turok by Doctor Jeep accompanied by Lil Texas & C.Z. of M|O|D, Obey City, and Kat Fyte. Straight dancefloor business fo’ the freaks, geeks, and all da buttcheeks~

Don’t miss the official release on 10/29 by Freshmore.

02. Ben Aqua – Trap Song (Relevant Radio Rap Hit)

Maybe u feel a lil negs about the state of trap music. Maybe you’re looking for something more conceptual like Weird Al or something.

Ben Aqua been getting that mad social network steez just by making this track entirely with his lips ‘n teef (hmmm I wonder if they gold; maybe it helps with production quality).

Netizens had these #rare comments to leave for Ben:

  • RelRelRelRelRelRelRelRelRelRelRelRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr
  • this is a great style!! where did you find it tho
  • So creative BB
  • Rap game Michael Winslow
  • LOL

03. Prime Slime – The Future (Wooferface Remix)

Are contemporary electronic music trends takin’ the UK funky/Eurozone electronic aesthetiq to the next level?

Maybe Chicago footwork sounds a lot more appealing since it potentially pairs well with notes of #trap songs and hints of relevant radio rap hits.

Trends, genres — dildonics. Wooferface saw the future and put his own slick take on this original Prime Slime juke track, plain and simple. F W I.

04. KONG – The Dankles Mix

If you’ve been out of the loop with future bass music for whatever reason — dog ate your headphones, your bro needed your ethernet cable to LAN — KONG’s gotchu covered with 22 traxxx that’ll make you say he da action

05. Riker – Showstoppin’ (DannityManez)

Ay playa, you werkin’ wit a showstopper? Does she do the thangs that the other girls don’t do? Can I get a peep game?

Riker stoppin’ the show (4sho) with this slow’d variation on a tune by Dannity Kane  Manez.

06. Flosstradamus – X☮

Don’t worry twerk team, I’ll pick up da pace for u. Flosstradamus is back with their latest EP called X☮, featuring the hardstyle-trap fusion released earlier this year on the Total Recall EP.

PROTIP: It’s a journey for only the bravest of souls. Is yo cheeks up to the tasssk?

07. Chaos In The CBD – Rolling 84’s / Slab / Trunk Music

Indie Playlist: Oct.10, 2012

Cue gentle bb October breeze; it feels nice and the sun’s a lil more bashful than usual~

You’re heading home after a long day of werk and your thoughts start to wander. . .

Just wanna come home to u and pass time listenin’ by to chill beats & maxin’ out relaxin’ — nothing fancy, just spinnin’ da sweet indie playlist dat u know I wanna hear.

Hoooooooo girl, u givin’ me goosebumps. I #feels pretty good now, jus’ wish I could spend more time wichu Nature. Wish I was wrapped up in a hammock sippin’ on some yung coconut milk while getting a playful massage from u.

But u know da game, it’s not played that way. Jus’ gotta stiff upper-lip it :< but keep da chin up cause it’s just another day bru and deez chill tunes is 4 u.

01. Werkha – Le Roitelet

As you’re winding down this fine Monday, just wanted to make sure your journey was a nice one. If it was poppin’, keep it fresh!

If it was rough, wind down with us. Don’t mind the traffic. Hop in Le Roitelet on your way back home and think of all the good things to come.

02. Dreams West feat. Tokyo Hands – </3

Like the 9-9-99 promise that Sega Dreamcast was gonna rock ur pre-HD graphics brain out, did you feel your Nintendo/Monopoly board game starting to feel irrelevant?

You finally get the Dreamcast and luh da games but realize the controller’s too big and will prolly give you carpal tunnel. Also it costs like $50 to play $25 for $9.99 a month & useless accessories namean. A n y w a y, after years of non-use your parents pack away your Derpcast.

Fast-forwarding to contemporary iLife, your hipster acquaintances want 2 play Bead Warrior: Master of the Beads cause they saw it trending on Tumblr and you wanted to oblige so they’d stfu for a sec while you regain your chillmax levels.

Dreamcast on. You secretly wretch at the sight of the early 21st century graphics as if they were 70s porn (so much hair), but you still got your game face on cause y’ain’t no fool.

You pack a bowl/sip chai latte or whatever calms ur shit and everyone finally kinda gets on the same page — OK, now you’re feel’n pretty chill.

But you still can’t help but question:

Damn son, where’d I find this?

03. Arnold – WRLD

In the search for true post-all #feels, electronic beat pioneers like Arnold and his M|O|D brus turn up the 808 instrumentals it takes to bring WRLD peace to all.

That, or lovin’ u is like workin’ dat drum kit 24/7 to find your sweetest heartbeat.

04. yukibeb – as we float

Definitely wanna queue up as we float and pretty much the rest of this ‘beb’s SoundCloud in today’s indie playlist

Yukibeb’s got that love from Tokyo that has real appreciation for the tru #feels from hip hop instrumentals.

Luh how she takes care of my feel-good vibes one loop at a time.

05. Tapes – Apparition

When you’re sitting alone & zoning in and out of what’s trill for you, do you get visited by ghosts? I speak of those apparitions of feelings past that remind u of times when you know you were feeling tru & real feelings?

Yea I mean, just listen to deez songs. Do they make your spine tingle? Your hair stand on end? Your butt fart?

06. Kosmo Kat – Broken Fan

Honestly doe I’m always tryna tune into my surroundings. The (Huntington) Beach vibes in this track got me feelin’ a lil nostalgic for gathering ’round the (digital/real/hypothetical) hearth wif good company and share some proper Cheers!

07. Sam Flax – Another Day

In other words, here’s to another day (wichu?)
